What courses require distance textbooks?
The Juneau courses with a section number of JD1 or UJ1 and the Sitka courses with a section number of UT1 or TD1 are considered distance courses and require distance textbooks.
How do I get my distance textbooks?
Students need to order their distance textbooks from MBS Direct. MBS is an online bookstore. Orders can be place by phone, mail, or online. Students will want to place their orders early to allow time for shipping. Generally allow 7 to 10 days for shipping.

If mailing in an order you must fill out an order form.
What if I have a Ketchikan Course?
Students enrolled in Ketchikan courses will NOT have to order their textbooks. Their student accounts will be charged and the books will be sent to your home address.
What if I have agency funding?
Agency funded students will have to contact the UAS Bookstore for a voucher form. Once the student has filled out the form and the University has received the students funding letter, the bookstore staff will process their order.
